‘I read somewhere – I can’t remember where – that Michelangelo said one day: “A good sculpture is good if it rolls down the stairs from the third floor and is still good when it gets to the bottom.”
Alas!
In a hundred years’ time, what will our beautiful iron and glass architecture, our beautiful monutmental architecture and pride of society, look when it gets to the bottom of the stairs of time? Ebro, 1972 . . . . (DOMUS July/August ’06)
